We are very excited about the upcoming Global Baptist Peace Conference to be held in Rome, Italy this coming February 9-14, 2009. We hope that you will seriously consider joining us for this event.
Attached are a brochure and a poster about the conference. We are lacking one bit of information to finish our registration forms, but if you are interested in coming, please e-mail me. I'll send the forms to you as soon as they are available.
Also, if you cannot come (or even if you are planning to come!) I would invite you to consider making a donation to help sponsor a peacemaker from a poorer country, especially some of the younger activists who would never be able to take advantage of such an opportunity without scholarship assistance. Send me an e-mail about your interest, and I'll give you information about how to contribute with some bio sketches of some peacemakers needing scholarships.
We also are seeking individuals, churches, and organizations who would be willing to sponsor the participation of persons from developing countries for whom the cost of participating in this event is prohibitive.
