SPIRITUAL & PERSONAL WHOLENESS 2007 COMMITTEE
SPIRITUAL AND PERSONAL WHOLENESS: The object is to facilitate Council members in fulfilling that part of their mission that declares them to be “individuals who advocate for and covenant with each other...to deepen their spiritual journey.” One is encouraged to reflect on the presence of God in his/her life and to acquire a fulfilled balance in meeting the professional demands, as well as personal and domestic responsibilities. One is also encouraged to develop a private prayer and devotional discipline, thus connecting one’s self emotionally, psychologically, physically, socially and spiritually.

Plans and Proposals for Senate 2008:
Plan: Conduct an ‘orientation’ for the prayer space, taking the group to the space.
Plan: Involve the committee in the development of the prayer partner guide.
Plan: Add a labyrinth space. Our committee would meet in the main Senate room, and utilize our meeting room for the labyrinth
Proposal: Provide a Pastor for Senate. The person would not be a member of the Senate.
Proposal: Worship is well done and the diversity of leadership is appreciated. We recommend that at least one of our worship times be more participatory, and utilize more of the space available in our meeting space and here at Green Lake. Example: Monday morning, we could have the first session outside (weather permitting), at the outdoor worship area.
